2005 Del Rio Merlot

Our 2005 Merlot is full-bodied with nice fruit to oak balance. Great color along with aromas of plum, earth, and spicy French oak tease our eyes and nose. While incredible flavors of Marionberry, chocolate, and site specific minerality from our vineyard's soil tantalize our taste buds. A smooth and round entry leads the way to a long, dry finish. This Merlot pairs well with a variety of foods, but we recommend trying it with red meats and sharp cheeses, as well as letting it age for 5-8 years.
